SNAP FIT™ Runner Plastic

The shape of these patent pending plastic sliders is carefully engineered to snap into the runner with one hand and to pull out easily. Our extruded plastics (Yellow, Blue, Black, Red, & White) have a “Peddling Groove” down the snow surface, which is not round but is designed to provide two more edges to help your sled track.

They all stay on the runner under the most difficult conditions. If they do manage to get pried out, you no longer need to stop, take it off, and re-install it. Just line it up and snap it in! All you may have to do is stand the sled up!

The plastic we sell is professionally manufactured by the the largest UHMW manufacturers in the country. Everything is made for us by Poly Hi Solidur. They are extruding proprietary plastics for us in our own engineered mold including your favorites: TIVAR 88® and TIVAR DRY SLIDE®. You can't get White Dog anywhere else!

The plastic also has no holes drilled, they are very easily drilled with any hand or power drill. The Snap Fit tabs can even be cut away near the hole to make it easier. The can even be "drilled" on the trail with a knife if you need to.

All these runners come with a gloss finish, perfect for dry, cold snow. For wet snow we can add our exclusive Wet-Slip™ finish. This provides a precise matte-finish that prevents the surface tension of the water from grabbing the plastic. Our secret? We use a sand blaster. For you industrious types who have the equipment, try it yourself, it's really not hard to do.

The plastic in the two products below is made from a superhard, superslick plastic that can stand up to almost anything, it is much harder than the UHMW above. It is ideal for very cold and very rugged conditions.

It is so hard that it is difficult to extrude and must be machined. Unfortunately, this material is so hard and the tolerances are so tight that we have been unsuccessful in designing a shape that will reliably snap into our runners. These are slide in. Yes, we know that we are trying to make slide in plastic obsolete, but this plastic is SO good that we have to offer these. Yes, you can still drill holes and cut it, it is just harder to do.
